Give as a Gift Book as Private EventYou’ve heard that well-worn phrase, “Photography is all about light,” right? But what happens when the sun goes down, and your light sources are diminished, or different? If you’re eager to learn how to take stunning shots after dark, using only artificial lighting, moonlight, or starlight, this course is for you!
Don’t let the term “astrophotography” intimidate you. We will simply be learning to take successful, striking photographs of the nighttime landscape and night sky.
In this course, we will learn how to shoot at night in both urban and rural environments, how to capture well-exposed and tack-sharp images in low light and nighttime conditions, and how to edit both single and composite images in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, and a night-sky-specific program called Star Stax. (No prior knowledge of any of these software programs is required, merely recommended.) We will also learn how to create simple, short time lapse videos of the night sky and/or night landscape.
Please note, for the virtual version of this course, course material will be supplemented with demonstrations and short instructional videos from the instructor. Students will be expected to shoot on their own as often as possible.
Prerequisites:
What programs do I need for the class?

At PhotoUno our main objective is to make your experience at our school as pleasant as possible. Keeping this in mind, we understand that students who enroll in our courses may need to miss a class due to unplanned circumstances.
Although PhotoUno has no obligation to provide make-up classes for students who can’t attend a class of the course they have signed up for, we will do our best to find a solution by:
1. Finding possible sections of the class for the student to attend in order to follow the sequence of the course. This option is free. This can be done up to two times for every course.
2. If we are unable to find a convenient date, we will offer the option of a private make up class that will be charged at a rate of $35 an hour.
PhotoUno is not obligated to grant student requests to switch courses.
