What you'll learn in this breakfast class:

Nothing is better than spending a Sunday morning cooking and eating. This class offers a variety of Indian breakfast dishes that will keep you full throughout the day.

Aloo poha is a common Indian breakfast dish, it is beaten rice mixed with cauliflowers, onions, and potatoes. It is very common in India that it is available in all local eatery and in canteens; it can be eaten as a breakfast meal or as an evening snack. Upma semolina is also a rice dish but it is a thick porridge that has a sweet taste to it. It is usually made with cashew, raisin, and onions. Adding the raisins to this dish adds a little excitement due to the sweetness of the raisins. In a lot of Asian countries, it is very common to eat rice or rice based dishes as a breakfast meal. Rice carries a lot of nutrient values thus both dishes are very healthy and filling. Poori turns hard when it gets cold, however the potato curry keeps it soft and delicious. Lastly we have chutney which is a relish that can be served with the kochouri for a extra kick of flavors.

  • Aloo poha (Rice mixed with cauliflower, onion, carrots and spices)
  • Dosa (lentil and rice batter with potaoes stuffing)
  • Samber (Lentil soup in butter nut squash, eggplant, okra, and spices)
  • Coconut chutney (Ground coconut with ginger and green chili)
You will be taught everything you need to know about spices (masalas), which is the basis of Indian cooking that will come handy when we begin to cook. Spices bring out the flavor in each dish; therefore, I always like my students to learn and become spice experts. I will teach you the nuances and secrets, where to get the masalas, and how to keep the aroma intact.

After the class I will send you the electronic version of the recipes to your email, so that It will be with you forever. This class is going to be very hands-on, but I will be with you all the time and giving you instructions. We cook from scratch using the best, healthy ingredients, spices and produce. We mingle, share our cooking experiences, eat together at the end of the class, and have lots of fun.

After we will make all the dishes, we will have a sit-down dinner. You will get friendship, fun and exquisite food a complete dinner like a king.

There's a minimum of three students for the class to run. If the minimum is not met, Mukti will personally reach out to reschedule via phone or email.

Mukti's Kitchen doesn't offer refunds for both provider-initiated and student-initiated cancellations. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy tab for more information. No exceptions will be made after the order has been placed.

Refund Policy

We are sorry that we cannot issue refunds for classes, but you may send someone in your place or choose another class if you cannot make it for any reason.

We do require at least business days of notice for us to provide credit for another class, otherwise we are left with an empty spot and not enough time to refill it off the waiting list.

If we don't get three or more students, we will reschedule the class for another day and we will communicate with you via email. If the class gets canceled for any reason we will let you know in advance.

For snowy days, please contact us and we will let you know if the class is still being held.

Important: Please note that all classes are non-refundable and class cancellations made by the school and students alike are covered in the above policy.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
