Commercial/VoiceOver Final Tapes for Reels

Commercials and Voice Overs are a great entry point for many actors. In fact, you'll probably have many more commercial auditions in your career than you will for legit TV/Film solely by virtue of the fact that there are so many more products, services and advertisers who want to sell. 

Image is important and your looks play an important role, but if you're sent to audition, you better be ready. 

There is a technique for commercials and voice overs that you can rely on. There's a structure to a commercial and places to fit your personality and improvisational skills. You need to know how to use them. What if it's a food group? What if it's 2-person copy? What if there's no words at all and you're asked to improv? 

In this special Elective, all actors will learn: 

1. Personality incorporation into all copy types 
2. 2-person commercial audition technique 
3. Food Groups and relationships with Products 
4. 100% Improvisational Auditions 
5. The basic structure of a commercial 
6. How to approach cold reads of all commercial copy 

We will bring in commercial casting directors who will test your ability and give you audition tips, in addition to Coaches. We encourage those taking improvisation classes to also jump into this special elective, as many commercials are non-speaking and rely on your improv skills. 

Final Commercial Class will be held in a casting director office and all actors will get a copy of their commercial clip for a reel. 

*Our first class will start with a "mock" audition, where you will read copy cold and be given adjustments and personalized feedback through the eyes of a commercial casting director.
