Loved this class. It's very fast moving but the teacher and classroom attendant are so helpful. 6 weeks flew by!

Chris Lord is a fantastic teacher. Learning the wheel can be intimidating in the beginning. Chris breaks it down so simplistically that anyone can learn to throw great works of art. Would definitely sign up again.

It was fun to learn the basics of spinning on the wheel. But this class left me feeling like 92Y classes are very disorganized, and this will be my last one at the 92Y. Out of a 6 class series, the first 3 of the classes were taught by a substitute. The sub was okay, but many of us signed up for the class because of the teacher. Also, there was no notification that we should have purchased tools before the course started, so we lost out on some time for learning to work with the tools while we all scrambled to purchase a set before the next class. Last thing - unfortunately due to the disorganization, some of us did not receive pieces we had been working on. During the second to last class, a lot of us submitted pieces for firing so they would be ready for us to glaze and take home at the last class the following week. But for some unexplained reason, some pieces were not finished a week after they had been put into the kiln. I walked away with nothing, and no direction as to how I could retrieve my piece. Not a great experience, but it was still fun to learn.
