Naomi Clark

Teaches at Textile Arts Center

Naomi was born and raised in Boulder Colorado. She moved to New York to study painting at Pratt Institute. After graduating she co-founded Fort Makers an art and design collaborative. With Fort Makers Naomi has envisioned and implemented many multi-discipline art projects that blur the boundary between art and design especially focusing on the idea of abstract non-repeating textile design. Some of the abstract textile based projects include The Dress Project, The Scarf Program and The Blanket Project. Her work has been shown and sold in New York, Paris, Seattle, Boston and Japan. Her work can be seen currently at Steven Alan Tribeca, Madewell (5th Ave location, New York) Albertine (New York), Belkina (www.Belkina.com), Of a Kind (www.ofakind.com) and Tomorrow Land in Japan and of course at www.fortmakers.com, andwww.naomiclark.com.
