Minal Mehta

Teaches at BollyX

Minal Mehta is the Co-Founder and President of BollyX. She has a fitness background in competitive synchronized swimming, water polo and swimming, and an artistic background in various styles of dance, including Bollywood, Kathak, Indian folk, Jazz and Hip Hop. Minal was at the forefront of Bollywood dance exploding in collegiate competitions nationwide, leading her UC Berkeley Bollywood dance team to sweep all national competitions in 2005. Minal is an AFAA certified fitness instructor, teaches BollyX classes in NYC and leads trainings across the US. Minal graduated from UC Berkeley in 2005 with a B.A. in Economics with Honors and from Harvard Business School in 2011 with an M.B.A in general management.

The class was fun and a great workout! I can't help but smile. The Bollywood music and dance moves are pure expressions of Joy. I'll be back for more!

Good class. Small space in Flatiron though that was really hot. So much sweat on the floor that it made it a little bit dangerous to dance. BUT, the instructor assure us that was the first time it had happened and that she would talk with the gym about it.
