Kids Spanish Beginner 1 (Ages 9-12)

This course represents the first component of a three-part Spanish language sequence for beginners.

Teaching Methodology: Our native fluency instructors promote Spanish language use throughout the classroom by incorporating Spanish-language activities, grammar drills, visual and cultural elements, and meaningful conversation practice. Instructors utilize a variety of audio and visual materials that are carefully selected to complement each other, ensuring that the same vocabulary or grammar concept is practiced and reinforced across multiple formats, modalities, and contexts. This integrated approach creates variety, encourages active student participation, and helps maintain engagement throughout the course.

Beginner Level Course Overview: This course is an excellent option for students between the ages of nine and twelve who have little or no prior language learning experience. During class instruction, students will acquire knowledge and skills related to the following topics:

Beginner 1 Content Areas: Spanish greetings and salutations, school-related vocabulary and concepts, numbers from zero to one hundred, color names and descriptions, the alphabet, family members and relationships, techniques for asking simple questions, adjective usage and agreement, animal vocabulary, and exploration of the culture and geography of Mexico and Central America.
