Understanding Skin pH in Cosmetic Formulation is an educational class designed to introduce students to the science of skin pH and its important role in developing cosmetic and personal care products. Students will explore how pH relates to the skin’s natural protective barrier, product compatibility, ingredient performance, and the formulation of skincare products designed for different skin needs.
This class is divided into two learning sections. Part 1 is a one-hour live virtual stream session that introduces the foundational theories of skin pH, cosmetic chemistry, and formulation principles. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions during the live session and gain a clearer understanding of how pH influences skincare formulation decisions.
Part 2 is a self-paced online learning experience in which students log into their Peach Academy student account and complete four course modules. These modules expand on the concepts introduced during the live session through structured lessons, practical examples, and knowledge-building activities.
By combining live instruction with online coursework, this class helps students develop a stronger foundation in skin pH, cosmetic ingredient compatibility, and responsible skincare product development.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
