The Choosing Cosmetic Ingredients by Skin-Care Goals class is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of selecting cosmetic ingredients based on specific skin-care needs, product objectives, and formulation goals. Students will explore how different cosmetic ingredients function, how to identify ingredients that support particular skin-care concerns, and how to make informed ingredient choices when developing or evaluating cosmetic products.
This class is divided into two educational sections. Part 1 consists of a one-hour live virtual stream session featuring instructor-led theory, practical examples, and an interactive question-and-answer session. Students will learn the foundational principles of cosmetic ingredient selection and explore how ingredient properties relate to different skin-care goals.
Part 2 consists of a self-paced online learning experience. Students will log into their Peach Academy student account and complete four course modules that expand on the concepts introduced during the live session. Through structured lessons and educational activities, students will develop a stronger understanding of cosmetic ingredient categories, their intended functions, formulation considerations, and how to select ingredients that align with a product’s purpose.
By the end of the class, students will have a foundation for evaluating cosmetic ingredients more confidently and understanding how ingredient selection contributes to the development of skin-care products.
