This photography class introduces foundational photographic principles that help participants understand how their camera operates. Topics covered include aperture, shutter speed, light sensitivity (ISO/ASA), lenses, focusing modes, camera metering, and the differences between automatic and manual exposure settings. Each of these concepts will be connected to your own camera's controls and how they influence composition. By the end of this class, you will have a strong grasp of your camera's capabilities and will be creating more thoughtfully composed photographs. With a deeper understanding of how your camera functions, you will learn to shoot with intention, relying more on your creative eye than on automatic settings.
Some of the things you'll learn:
- The most important parts of your camera and how to use them effectively
- How to produce the best possible photographs
