Investigate how surrealist artists employed their techniques to transcend conventional boundaries and challenge viewers' expectations. In this workshop, you will develop your own surreal artistic composition that questions the nature of reality and perception.

Many LGBTQ+ artists discovered in surrealism a powerful tool for challenging rigid gender roles, expressing desire and sexuality, and exploring identity beyond restrictive societal expectations. Notable figures such as Leonor Fini, Toyen, and Claude Cahun utilized surrealist methods to reimagine representations of the body, selfhood, and imaginative possibility.

Your ticket includes an engaging art history presentation and all necessary art materials for creating your work. Protective coveralls and smocks will be provided to keep your clothing clean during the creative process.
