What you'll learn in this photography class:

Do you want to create better photographs with your smartphone? Don’t know what settings are best under which conditions? Not sure how to get the results you want? Then this is the class for you! Note: This class is limited towards mobile phones (iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows, etc.), and not geared towards tablets (i.e. iPads).

Location:
New York Public Library - Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. We will meet in front of Panera Bread, located at 452 Fifth Avenue, which is about a block south of the library. We will conduct both outdoor and indoor exercises.

BEWARE OF THIS SCAM! This was the absolute biggest waste of money--so bad that me and the other two students left before the "class" ended. This class is taught by a random guy who requests he meets you at the panera bread by bryant park---from there you walk over to the park and he teaches silly/grade school phone camera tricks---the kicker was, he didn't even have an iphone or a phone with a decent camera. He taught us silly tricks like how to take pictures on your phone using the button on your headphones(lol!). He was a nice guy, but I feel slighted like a tourist that I got scammed into paying a random man $100 to teach us things that I could learn on Youtube or at the apple store for free. I can't lie-this guy has a good hustle going for him. I would definitely recommend a youtube video in lieu of this class.

Instructor was friendly and patient. We learned a few things about how to focus on a subject, how to use the grid, and the lighting, and what apps to use to edit the photos.

Sepia definitely brings a great energy to make the class fun and engaging. I was excited to learn more from the start. During the class, I learned to look at taking photos in a different way to enhance the quality of my images. I also learned some great editing tips that helped me to produce a great photo at the end of class. I will continue to practice the great tips in my photography that Sepia shared.
