Class Description

Description

This specialized photography safari experience centers on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge as your primary learning location and creative setting. Here, you will develop a comprehensive and deeper understanding of the technical aspects involved in low-light image capture techniques, commonly referred to as night photography. You will carefully examine how long exposure operates, how it functions in various conditions, and how it impacts your final image quality and visual results. You will study the significant effects of white balance adjustments on photographic outcomes and develop the practical ability to capture compelling, high-quality images without relying on flash technology. Although a DSLR camera is the preferred and recommended equipment choice for optimal results, you are welcome to bring any digital camera that features manual control settings for exposure and other parameters; you must bring a sturdy, stable tripod for consistent, sharp results. This comprehensive Photo Safari experience accommodates all levels of photographic expertise and knowledge, from beginners to advanced photographers.

Meeting Point: Specific location details will be confirmed at a later date. Please review your confirmation email carefully for complete information and detailed directions to the meeting location.

It was an exceptional class. I was lucky to be the only one attending that day and hence, got to learn a lot more. Zim provides a lot of details with demonstrative examples that I found extremely useful for low light / night photography. You can read all you want but first hand, face-face lessons surpasses everything. Already looking forward to attending Zim's fall course in October :-) As she says - it is all about the composition!
