What you'll learn in this photography class:
This workshop with award-winning photographer Mindy Véissid emphasizes a creative approach to photography that doesn’t let the technical aspects of the art intimidate us or hold us back. She will show us that instead of obsessing about technical perfection, the key is to tune out our self-sabotaging inner critic to awaken. Not only will the images we generate reflect far more of our authentic inner spirit, but this approach to photography can become a truly transformative meditative process.
During the first part of our day we will engage in a number of exercises that encourage us to put aside the rational mind and let our senses lead us to find the most meaningful images. In the afternoon we will go outdoors on a field trip to put to use what we have learned, as we move easily, with flexibility and freedom and experience the joy of intuitive photography out in the world. Come use your camera’s lens to find your true self!
Note: Please bring any style camera or cell phone; all levels of photographers are welcomed. Field Trip: New York Public Library at 42nd Street and 5th Avenue, renowned for its beautiful marble building, and massive library. Enrollment is limited.

- Refunds are available minus a processing fee* if you cancel up to 11 business days prior to the first day of the program.
- Course credits are available, minus a processing fee* if you cancel up to 3 business days prior to the first day of the program.
*The processing fee for cancellation is $15 for programs costing less than $250, and $35 for programs costing $250 and up.
No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations less than 3 business days prior to the first day of a program, or if a student does not attend a program. The estimated refund processing time is two to three weeks.
