My sister and I went to this class and it was perfect! We have both have never taken a pottery class so started off a little overwhelmed but the instructor was a great help. I made 3 pieces in 2 hrs and decided to keep 2 of them. My sister made 2 pieces and kept 1. The instructors are really helpful in getting you set up but also good about making sure you try on your own as well. I can’t wait to pick up my glazed piece in 3 weeks! They pick the same off white speckle glaze for everyone’s piece. It’s a pretty neutral so I didn’t mind but keep in mind that you don’t actually paint the piece after you are done. This is only the pottery piece.

Overall the process of working with the wheel was fun. However, we were made to clean up afterwards despite paying for the class. We were not offered and there were no clean rags/towels available to wipe ourselves off from the splatter of cleaning.

Had a wonderful time. The vibe and the people made the experience fun and mellow. I learned a lot and it was great to do/try multiple times on each clay ball. Time will go by fast so I would suggest to take the weekly course if you really love it. You will definitely get dirty but I think it's worth it.

Question from Nicole O.
Is this class a BYOB?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Nicole! Yes, this is a BYOB class. Some students make mimosas in the weekend morning workshops, so feel free but no pressure to bring anything to drink if you don't want to. But currently, we don't have upcoming dates but can save the class to your wishlist so you're automatically notified via e-mail the next time we add dates. Hope this helps!

Question from Anonymous
What is the difference between this workshop and the Wheel Throwing Pottery (Weekend) as it seems this workshop has weekend availability also? weekend availability also?
Answer from Jenn C. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi! Both classes are exactly the same except for the fact that Sip and Spin is a BYOB class while the one-day workshops are taking place in the morning and we figure it is a little early to start drinking! :)
