What you'll learn in this korean cooking class:

Learn to make some of your favorite Korean restaurant dishes while exploring the ingredients and cooking techniques that make Korean food so envigorating and delicious.
  • Kimchee Jjigae (Pork Belly, Tofu, and Kimchee Hot Pot)
  • Goon Mandoo (Pan-Fried Handmade Pork Dumplings)
  • Beef Bulgogi with Sticky Rice and Accompaniments
  • Kimchee Fried Rice (served with a fried egg)

School Notes:
You’ll receive a complete recipe packet and enjoy a full sit-down meal at the end of class with your classmates. Our classes are BYOB, and you are welcome to bring a bottle to share at the sit-down meal.

Our classes are hands-on, coupled with demonstration-style teaching. Everyone is situated at their own cutting board/chef’s knife station around a large wooden worktable that accommodates the whole class (10 people max). We work together as a group, with the chef at the head of the table.

We focus on knife skills, preparing ingredients for cooking, and we strive to find every opportunity to offer you a hands-on experience at the stove and at your station, all within the spacial parameters of a single stove/family-style kitchen. We ask for volunteers to assist in all cooking.

Refund Policy
We have a firm 48-hour cancellation policy to ensure that we have enough time to re-fill your seat with another student. For cancellations prior to the 48-hour mark, we are happy to offer credit for a future class.

While it is not in our nature to say no, we are not able to offer credit/refund for last-minute illnesses or work-related conflicts. However, you are always welcome to send someone in your place, because we understand these things do happen.

John was an absolute delight to work with. He is a great chef and a hilarious person. It was a class with just me, so it could have been canceled but they allowed me to take it as a one on one course, which was kind and generous. John made me feel right at home from the start and taught me all that there was to know about the delicious Korean dishes we made.

This was an all-around excellent class! Our instructor was fun and informative and all of the food was delicious. I can absolutely see myself making any and all of the dishes which we prepared and I love the fact that I've added a few exciting new things to my cooking repertoire. You definitely will not leave this course hungry. Though we definitely participated in the preparation of each dish, I would have perhaps liked to have been even more involved in these steps, if only because I enjoyed making this food so much. Overall, though, this was a great experience and I would highly recommend it!

This was a really fun class! The instructor was very lively and the food we made was amazingly delicious! I wish it was a little more hands-on or a little more advanced, but overall, we had a great evening and would recommend the class!

The Intro to Korean Cooking was awesome!!! Five (5) delicious dishes, Goon Mandoo, Kinchi Jjigae, Korean Sticky Rice, Kimchi Fried Rice, and Bulgogi. We prepared, cooked and dined on each dish.. they were easy to make for everyone and fun to do. And our Chef!!! .. Outstanding! Thank You... looking forward to another class, mike
