If you are comfortable playing basic open chords such as D, G, Em, C, D7, Am, A, and E, but would like to develop the ability to play entire songs with confidence and fluency while incorporating mixed and varied strumming patterns, then this class is ideal for you. You will become increasingly comfortable and proficient, changing smoothly between these chords while mastering a variety of mixed strumming patterns, including the beautifully resonant, widely used, and incredibly useful "basic strum" and "best strum" in the context of inspiring and beloved songs by celebrated artists like Adele, Bill Withers, Jason Mraz, Ed Sheeran, and many more.
Here's How the Class Works:
- Attend class weekly to learn new songs, develop musical skills, and receive consistent encouragement and constructive feedback from your experienced teacher. The course topics cycle every 8 weeks or so, allowing you to begin at any time.
- Practice at home using the comprehensive included video practice library. Start each practice session with the Beginner Guitar 2 warm-up video to reinforce fundamental skills and maximize your overall progress and development.
- The true secret to musical success is remembering your goals and staying motivated. Review the Beginner Guitar 2 Class Graduation Video frequently, and play along with the video using as many stops and pauses as you need to master the material. First, you may feel confused. Then you may feel challenged. Finally, you will absolutely crush it. When you do, you're ready to advance to the next class level.
Most students successfully graduate from this class after about 8 sessions. However, progressing faster or slower is completely fine.
Prerequisites: You have successfully completed Beginners Guitar 1 or are already comfortable with basic open chords and can play along with the graduation video for the Beginner 1 level class.
