Description
What you'll learn in this blues class:
Join award-winning, international Lindy Hop Instructors Laura Glaess & Bobby White for an afternoon of advanced up-tempo Lindy Technique and high-level air steps.
Part A: Fast Lindy: Focus will be on moving through several great fundamental steps and stylings at higher speeds (Bring your inhaler!)
Prerequisite: must know fundamental 8-count swing outs, 6 count moves, Charleston figures and transitions at 160 bpm.
Part B: Air Steps: A deep dive into the Front Hand Spring (“Pancake”) and a hand connected version of Over the Shoulder (Classic back flip off the thrower’s shoulder)
Prerequisite: Partners ARE required for this class. Recommended that partnerships have done fundamental back flip air steps before. (Knickerbocker or Al flip)
Notes:
- 8 couples maximum for this class
- Wear non-baggy athletic clothing and cushioned sneakers with good grip, no jewelry
