If you have been singing or even taking lessons for a while and feel like you're going nowhere, let me tell you that it's not supposed to be that way! When singing, you should feel liberated and free, not strained and inflexible. Even worse, if you have been taking lessons and not seeing progress, something is not right. When taking lessons, you should hear progress soon and you should be taught what exactly is happening with your voice when you use it. This is what this class is about, about training your voice to be free and educating you about how your voice works. Now is the time to get rid of those breaks, unconnected registers, limits and inflexibility! We'll work as needed on different areas of your vocal technique, rotating topics such as chest voice, head voice, mixed voice, different resonators, connectivity, flexibility, range expansion and vibrato.
This is how the whole thing works:
Once you sign up, you will receive an information package as well as scales for your daily vocal workout. Then you just come to the class to learn about your voice, to explore it and to work out the different parts of it, thus improving your overall vocal performance. While vocal technique is a life-long commitment for anyone who is serious about their singing, the goal of this subscription is to educate you until you become your own teacher, until you develop an even voice through all your registers and until you know how to use your voice in a healthy and efficient manner. Sound good to you? Always remember: good vocal technique enables you to sing any musical style at a world-class level!
Recommended preparation:
It is recommended that you take the Vocal Technique and Performance Crash Course that will introduce you to many aspects of this class in a one day workshop. The one-day Vocal Technique and Performance Crash Course will provide you with essential information about your voice and will introduce you to essential vocal exercises.
Requirements to join this class:
You should be aware that you will need to carve out time in your schedule for a daily practice routine. I recommend somewhere between 20-45 minutes daily, at least 4-5 days a week for vocal technique practice. Your goal should be to work on your voice and repertoire on an ongoing basis.
