Based at the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge in the historic Gretsch Building, we are the premiere destination for professional & home chefs, organic food lovers, CSA & Coop members, as well as all types of “foodies” who appreciate pure, high quality, organic and all natural foods.
Family owned & operated, we import our products from Veronica Foods who have had a presence in the olive oil industry for the past 90 years. They work in close partnership with farmers in both hemispheres to deliver fresh, high quality products to us all year long. They personally source all of their products and never deal with middlemen.
We strongly believe that extra virgin olive oil is like fruit juice: highly perishable. It is healthier and more flavorful when consumed fresh. This is one of the reasons why we post the harvest date on every oil we offer.
In addition to the harvest date, we are extremely obsessive when it comes to the chemistry of our olive oils. The chemistry of a particular oil can tell you many things. It tells us the polyphenol count (antioxidant value), the measurement which dictates flavor intensity, to whether it's suitable for high heat cooking, based on its unique free fatty acid measurement and fruit condition. We also measure oleic acid in our oils, the monounsaturated fat in Olive Oil that makes it so healthy.
With over 50 unique products on tap, we are confident that we can assist you in selecting an oil or vinegar that best fits your needs. Sample packs and gift boxes are also available.

Greg was a warm and welcoming host, who does his job with great passion. Greg helped us understand the difference between good quality extra virgin olive oil and the more commonly sold but lower quality oils. The evening was interesting and fun; I will definitely try to go back soon.

I recently became very interested in learning more about good olive oil. I searched online for local tastings and was so happy to find this class. I took my boyfriend and we had a great time! It was very informative, and I finally had an opportunity to taste the true, good extra virgin olive oils I had read about. They tasted so much better than the oil I had been using at home! I'd very much recommend this class, plus you get to walk away with a free bottle!
