Description
Need inspiration? You'll find it here. Whether during the school year, at one of the many Holiday Camps still to come this Spring, or during the summer at Culture Bugs!, HiArt!'s incredible programs for the arts-savviest kids in the city are not to be missed!
The impact our work has made on the thousands of families who have crossed our threshold since 1997 is enormous. “HiArt! has changed our lives,” parents say, and children badger their parents until they can come back again and again. Which is why, in addition to all our regular classes, camps and activities, we’ve decided to bring another “child” into the world. Her name is Time In, and she’s devoted to bringing more HiArt! to more children in New York City than ever before.
FAQs
What are some of your most popular classes that you offer on CourseHorse?
Some of our most popular classes are Opera N Art and Manga Madness.
How long have you been in business? Can you tell us a bit about your history?
We've been in the business for 19 years this 2016. Everyone thought my daughter was amazing, so I decided to teach everyone what I taught her. The program became Best of New York in 2000 and everyone from David Bowie to Mort Zuckerman, to Annie Liebovitz, to Inez and Vinoodh's and a zillion more kids came. And in 2006, we founded The Time in Children's Arts Initiative, an amazing nonprofit to bring the same program to kids who would never otherwise have access.
What is your average class size?
Our average class size is 10 students.
What is your typical student like? What are their goals?
There is no typical student other than they're all smart and motivated, interested and interesting.
Can you recommend activities to do in the neighborhood before or after class?
In Chelsea, there are over 200 galleries nearby, the FIT MUSEUM, and great places for coffee.

The Producers: A Videomaking Extravaganza for Arty Kids
My child attended the Culture Bugs Mini Camp this past summer. It was such an inspiring experience for her. The Director and her staff are just wonderful. The art program is diverse and creative. I'd recommend for any child who is serious about art.
