Let your child's creative spirit run free at New York's premier art studio! Whether it's painting, drawing, or sculpture, kids will enjoy creating their own works of art at Kids At Art's uniquely equipped studio on New York's Upper East Side.

For over a decade, Kids at Art has provided the perfect environment for nurturing, non-competitive art programs where children can learn and create freely. Our age-appropriate art classes for kids 2 – 12 years old focus on the basics of visual arts and are a challenge to a child’s inventiveness, helping to develop his or her imagination.

We offer a varied arts program, including creative art classes, fashion design & sewing classes, drawing from the model, and more. Exhibits of their students’ work are held from time to time, for family, friends and the general public to see.

At Kids at Art, class size is limited so everyone receives individual attention.

And if you’re no longer a kid, we’re now offering great classes for older artists as well. From a portfolio class for teens to art classes and life drawing sessions for adults of all ages, Kids at Art has something for everyone.

Art classes for ages 5–7 years are our most popular.

How long have you been in business? Can you share a bit about your history?

We've been in business for 15 years this 2016. I'm an artist that loves children, and saw a need in NYC at the time for children to do more art than they are offered in school (and still do).

What is your average class size?

Our average class size is 7–10 children, except for our workshops in the summer and on holidays, which can be up to 20–25 children.

Can you recommend activities to do in the neighborhood before or after class?

John J. Park is on 77th Street and the East River.

From the 2yr old classes on up Wendy (the patient teacher) has the young students create such stunningly creative projects. The children are taught to use various types of art techniques in each class. This is truly the best choice for a children's art class in NYC!
