Wildlife Conservation Society's goal is to conserve the world's largest wild places in 15 priority regions, home to more than 50% of the world's biodiversity.

This is outlined in our 2020 strategy, which positions WCS to maintain its historic focus on the protection of species while developing an ambitious plan to engage with a rapidly changing world.

The challenges are greater than ever, but with the focus, dedication, and passion of a committed staff—combined with a unique mixture of field, zoo, and aquarium expertise—WCS will continue to set the bar for science, conservation action, and education that has driven our success in protecting wildlife and wild places for over a century. We hold ourselves to the highest standards, adhering to core values of respect, accountability and transparency, innovation, diversity and inclusion, collaboration, and integrity.

Our Mission

WCS saves wildlife and wild places worldwide through science, conservation action, education, and inspiring people to value nature.

  • Jr. Zoo Club (Ages 0-6)

Reviewed by Norana C. on 11/4/2019
It was such a great way to spend the morning! My son loved it and even made a few friends. It is wonderful being able to explore the discovery center before it opens to the public, and they brought out rescued bunny to show the kids. Great story time which was relevant to learning about the zoo. Initially, I was kinda annoyed that we had to buy tickets for the adults as well as the kids. But I realized that since zoo admission is included, you are basically only really paying for the kids. And the adults, it's like a $2 difference between the cost of admission.
  • Morning with the Animals (Ages 3-8 w/ Adult)

My son loved the class. All fees associated with the parent remaining with the child should be made clear. It should clear say that parent must purchase a ticket as well!

My son loved the class! The issue I had was with coursehorse. It should be made extremely clear that the parent has to pay an additional fee for him/ herself along with the class fee for the child. Not that the parent must remain with the child. It leave you to assume that as long as you pay for your child ticket and is willing to stay on premises that it only one fee related to the class.
  • Zoo Views (Ages 18+)

Not so much a photography class inasmuch as a photo opportunity! Judy and the team at the Zoo were a pleasure to spend the morning with. Having the opportunity to experience the zoo prior to the public opening was worth the price of admission alone. For the Valentines event, heart shaped treats in prime locations were provided to the animals once our group was situated leading to wonderful photo opportunities. The group was a good size, with enough viewing spots to not need to climb on-top of each other. Admission tickets were provided at the end for those wishing to spend additional time at the zoo. Will definitely be back!
