We are now celebrating our 32nd anniversary in providing quality courses, certificates and services to our community. Established in 1978 to serve the New York and international communities with high-quality, professional education and training, Baruch College's Division of Continuing and Professional Studies (CAPS) offers courses, certificates, and programs in diverse subjects.
Students at Baruch College's Division of Continuing and Professional Studies come from all walks of life and all levels of education and all have unique goals and aspirations. Some study with us to advance their careers, some to change careers, some to improve their language skills, and many join us just to enrich their personal lives. Many of our students have gone on to obtain very prestigious positions with corporations both in the U.S. and abroad.
Responding to market needs, Baruch College's Division of Continuing and Professional Studies develops and launches new courses and programs that can immediately meet the needs of the aspiring professional. These new programs are presented to the public after rigorous educational development and with input from experts in the professional community.
Taught by industry leading professionals, our courses are held during the day, as well as evenings, and weekends to best meet the needs of adult students. Courses are offered in a traditional classroom, online, or in a combination of both formats.
The first and last class are devoted to a practice test. During my class, there was a substitute for one of the classes who wasn't sure where we were and normally taught a GMAT class. It was confusing. It could've been more helpful, but whatever length of class you're signing up for, know the first is a test to see where you are at, and the final is a test to see if you've improved (mostly because they offer the class over again if you don't improve at all, which is great, unless you only improve by 1 point.)
The class was a well taught class but i thought this was a certificate course. I think it should be made into one.
The class could be condensed. (3) hours at the end of a work day is challenging. Teacher likes to include lots of personal observations which extends the class unnecessarily.
I want my money back. I was extremely disappointed and feel the course was misrepresented. I believed I would have a hands-on instruction regarding various social media platforms during the 3 day course. The entire first day the teacher just gave a presentation. The morning of the second day was also just a presentation and the class let out early. The third and last day started late, also let out early and the teacher gave us a shit-load of time to work on a project on our own that could have been done in minutes. Large chunks of time were spent trying to log on or the teacher researching something he did not know. There was very little hands-on operational time in relation to the length of the course. Some of my personal accounts were damaged while trying to log on and the teacher didn't know how to help. At least one other person in the course -that I spoke to - feels the same as I do. I know nothing more than I did when I took the course and feel that I was ripped off. For the amount of money I paid for a 3 Saturday course I expected a lot more. My impression is that social media is not the teacher's subject or strong point and that he got this assignment only because he said he could do it. The ppt presentation was only marginally relevant to the course. I felt it was stretched out to fill time and surely was lost on students with minimal English who were also expecting operational training. I expected to explain this on the course evaluation but the teacher forgot them. I was in the process of writing to you when I received this evaluation form. Again, I am requesting a refund or to take the course again with another teacher.
Spider Graham was terrific! It was comprehensive, hands-on and fun!
It is better for you to have basic coding knowledge to take the class. The teacher is nice and friendly.
The instructor, Florin Giuglescu, Is great with fundamental drills, highlighting the reasons why your form needs to be different and really interested in ensuring you understand the core basics of the game.
The instructor is very knowledgeable and I learned a great deal. Hoping to pass the certification and get a job doing payroll so I can practise what I learnt.
too many ppl in the class, with very different level. hardly had any quality time to play
Great course to connect the dots with communication and accounting. Valuable experience and awesome instructor that really breaks down complex issues. Definitely recommends this course.
