Dr. Sun Dong, Xiaomeng Huang & Tingting Liu

Teaches at Confucius Institute for Business, SUNY

Dr. Sun Dong is a professor of English literature in Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (NUFE), where she has also served as Associate Dean of the Higher Education Research Institute. Her academic interests encompass literature, cultural studies and media. Dr. Sun received her Ph.D. from Nanjing University in 2009. Following completion of her formal degree, she entered a post-doctoral program in communication and media studies at McMaster University, Canada. She has been teaching for more than twenty years and has received awards for her teaching excellence.

Dr. Sun has authored a book, numerous academic articles, and a collection of poems. Her poems have been featured in numerous Chinese magazines.

Xiaomeng Huang is an international program coordinator at the Nanjing University of Finance and Economics. She received her master's degree in Linguistics at Nanjing Normal University. Before joining NUFE, Ms. Huang worked for the Shanghai University of Engineering Science and taught Chinese to international students. She teaches Chinese Business Communications 101 and the Weekend Intensive.

Tingting Liu is a lecturer for the Department of English at Nanjing University of Finance and Economics (NUFE). Ms. Liu's academic interests include Discourse Analysis, Pragmatics, ESL teaching and English for Specific Purposes. She joined NUFE after getting her Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Edinburgh. Ms. Liu has coached many students to take part in public speaking and debating competitions at the provincial and national levels. She was honored as "the top 30 popular teachers of NUFE in 2010." Ms. Liu has published several academic journal articles on Applied Linguistics and Pragmatics and contributed to several textbooks.
