Justin Cimino

Teaches at Pigeonholed Theater Company

Justin Cimino received his BFA in Drama from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. He is an actor and teacher in NYC. He has been teaching theater for over a decade. He is currently the Education Director and Operations Manager for Zara Aina, a nonprofit organization that brings clowning and theater work to at-risk communities in Madagascar and the United States. He was hired by UNICEF to use Zara Aina's clown-based work to mobilize communities in Madagascar to fight polio. He has directed and taught clowning and the devised "moment work" of the Tectonic Theater Project at NYU Tisch, Columbia University, the Studio/NY, Theater 68, Shakespeare in the Square, and the Shakespeare Society. Justin has apprenticed and trained under Lucas Caleb Rooney, Bryce Pinkham, Lenard Petit, and Jeremy Stockwell. Most recently Justin devised and directed documentary theater pieces about a Jackson Heights hoarder, a triple amputee who runs a Hospice Center, and a 90-year-old woman who used to hunt Nazis.
