Princess Jenkins is an award winning retailer with an extensive background in the fashion industry. When she recalls how it all began she says, “It started when I saw Diane Ross in the 1975 Oscar-nominated film, Mahogany,” referring to her decision at age 16 to enter the fashion industry. In her early twenties, she opened Jazz It Up, New York’s first Fashion and Beauty consulting firm for women of color. After seven successful years she left retailing and became a much sort after motivational speaker and youth and adult entrepreneurial training consultant. Her clients included NYCHA, Goldman Sachs, and Deloitte & Touche.
