Class Description

Description

In this course, we produce multiple prints with different designs with linocut plates and add 1-colour for each design (If you like multiple colours, go for it!). Having a bold black printed outline stands out more with other mediums and the entire artwork becomes crisp and tight. Carving requires good patience during production, but the result is absolutely rewarding. How ink embodies your plate in two-dimensional artwork is a surprise, and it’s one of the beauties of printmaking.

Open to all students. No printmaking experience is needed.

Registration fee included.

School Notes:

Please note, New York School of the Arts charges a $50 one-time registration fee for students who are new to their school. This is automatically added to the cost of your enrollment (and already included in the price listed on this course).
