Philip Pockriss

Teaches at Baruch College - CAPS

Mr. Pockriss has been a practicing attorney for 19 years, admitted to practice in the State of New York. He began his legal career as a real estate attorney and then spent some time as Special Counsel to Prudential Securities where he negotiated settlements with investors as part of a settlement fund established as a result of an agreement reached with the SEC. Mr. Pockriss has also worked in the area of compliance, specializing in corporate compliance with state regulations on a national level. Pro bono activities include volunteering legal services at the City Bar Justice Center and at Selfhelp Community Services Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program. 

He graduated from Queens College, CUNY, magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and received a Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law.
